OUR HISTORY

Navigating the Rails of Success

Nippon Koei Mobility (formerly ASAP Mobility) entered the market with a clear goal in mind—to address the needs of system engineering within the railway and public transport industry. The rebranding of ASAP Mobility to Nippon Koei Mobility marks the company’s shift to a new era, adding Nippon Koei’s decades of experience and global expertise to what was already an experienced consultancy firm.

Takayuki Fujitomi, Chairman, brings a wealth of expertise to the table with a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Nagoya University (Japan), Professional Engineer (Japan), 1st Class Architect (Japan) credentials, and an MBA from Bond University (Australia). With over two decades of consulting and project management experience, he specializes in projects related to highway construction, bridge development, and metro expansion.

Having successfully led large-scale projects, including the Jakarta Metro North–South Line (Engineering Phase) and Dhaka MRT Line and Project, Takayuki currently offers his insights and guidance as a consultant for metro development projects, organizational enhancement, and business transformation.

Makoto Yokota, Director, brings a wealth of expertise with a Master's in Bio-system Science from Tsukuba University in Japan, along with Professional Engineer (Information Engineering) and Registered Information Security Specialist (RISS) qualifications. With over two decades of experience, he has excelled in consultancy services, spanning system development, technical studies, bidding processes, project implementation, and management on both domestic and international fronts.

Makoto's current focus centers on diverse railway system projects, including those financed through ODA loans. Notable examples include Dhaka MRT Development (Bangladesh), Jakarta Mass Transit System (Indonesia), Ho Chi Minh City Urban Railway (Vietnam), Greater Cairo Metro Line No. 4 Phase I (Egypt), Karachi Transportation Improvement (Pakistan), Jakarta MRT East-West Line (Indonesia), and the construction of the Den Chai–Chiang Rai-Chiang Khong (Thailand) railway line.

Aniket Mukhopadhyay, President & CEO and Board Member, is an electronics and communications engineer who began his career as a signalling engineer. With a comprehensive understanding of contemporary transportation challenges, he has successfully ascended the corporate ladder.

Aniket's notable achievements encompass his role in the International Marketing Department, where he oversaw marketing operations in Germany, the Philippines, Bangladesh, and Saudi Arabia. As a country manager, he led operations in Saudi Arabia and Malaysia. Aniket also played a pivotal role in establishing Malaysia's inaugural private railway training centre, offering courses in signalling, electrification, track design, installation, testing, and commissioning.

Satoshi Nishizawa, Senior Manager at the Regional Management Office, graduated from Waseda University in 1998 with a Bachelor of Economics. He boasts over two decades of expertise in corporate management, governance, finance, accounting, budget planning, and risk management.

While he was serving as Director of Finance at Nippon Koei India, he oversaw financial, accounting, and administrative matters, leading successful initiatives to improve cash flow management and enhance organisational efficiency. With his current role, Satoshi Nishizawa is responsible for the overall management of the group’s companies, with a focus on enhancing corporate governance, financial management, and risk management.

We are addressing the shortage of system engineers by nurturing new talent through our in-house training programs, with a focus on their continual professional growth. Our goal is to engineer excellence and contribute to a brighter, more sustainable future for all.
