Malaysia’s leading mobility-as-a-service company, Asia Mobility Technologies Sdn Bhd (Asia Mobiliti) and Japan’s No.1 international engineering consultants, Nippon Koei Co. Ltd. (Nippon Koei) and its Malaysian subsidiary ASAP Mobility Sdn Bhd (ASAP Mobility), have been selected to demonstrate a mobility proof of concept (POC) project aimed at delivering cutting-edge digital experiences for public transit in Kuala Lumpur.
ASAP Mobility turns Nippon Koei unit
Japan’s Nippon Koei Co Ltd has inked an agreement to acquire a majority stake in ASAP Mobility Sdn Bhd, a Malaysian system engineering and consultancy company.
With that, ASAP Mobility has become a subsidiary of Nippon Koei.
This is part of Nippon Koei’s expansion plan into Malaysia and the regional market.
ASAP Mobility secures Nippon Koei as strategic shareholder
ASAP Mobility Sdn Bhd (AMSB), a leading system engineering and consultancy company, has secured Japanese peer company Nippon Koei Co Ltd (NKCL) as its strategic shareholder.
NKCL has inked an agreement to acquire a majority stake in AMSB to expand into Malaysia and the regional market.
With that, AMSB has now become a subsidiary of NKCL.
AMSB chief executive officer (CEO) Aniket Mukhopadhyay welcomed NKCL as its strategic shareholder.
